Go see Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie if you can! Caught a screening last weekend & adored it, whether you're a fan of the show or not it's absolutely hilarious and one of the best original comedy films in years.

Happy New Year folks! I was overseas during the holidays which means the annual "Games I Really Enjoyed That May of May Not Have Come Out This Year" have been delayed. 😔 Luckily, the prestigious award ceremony begins right now! Who will take home a 2025 GIRETMOMNHCHTY? Stay tuned! 1/?

Also sorry for the post spam, turns out I had a very specific privacy setting enabled in my browser that breaks image uploads on this site. The modern internet huh? 🙃

My biggest pet peeve with suggestion algorithms is when you show ur friends some dumb 8 second clip once and it decides that video is your entire identity. Turns out you're the shitpost guy now and you demand a non-stop feed of vaguely similar clips and edits instead of the normal stuff you watch.

I beat King's Field (US not JP) last night, really enjoyed it. The vibes are immaculate for a game with such simple visuals, they really send it on music and sound design. Environments seem same-y at first but the audio helps a lot and the map is relatively small and easy enough commit to memory.

Seeing all these ai art dorks trying to hock their slop through patreon or YT only to struggle with the reality of actually trying to sell their "art" is some of the most delicious, top-shelf irony. They're all just paying each other's subscription costs and wondering why they're not rich yet. 🤦

Finally made some time for the Elden Ring DLC, stating the obvious here but it was pretty great. I liked the map design a lot and particularly loved Shadow Keep with it's multiple entries and exits that piece together some map mysteries. Messmer was easily my favourite boss, what a sick showdown.

Got completely stunlocked over the last weekend by Shogun Showdown - store.steampowered.com/app/2084000/... Super fun little strategy/action roguelike with a really creative and well thought out combat system. Controls take some getting used to but when it clicks, *chef kiss* 👨‍🍳
