Based off the Motion City Soundtrack lyric from Make Out Kids, ("If we keep swimming, maybe this will never die."), Moxie is wearing a US Coast Guard uniform, reaching out his hand to rescue Vincent, who's adrift on the sea.

Vincent grabs Moxie's hand, as they're both lifted into the helicopter, as the lyric graphic, "If we keep swimming, maybe this will never die," is getting more warped underwater.

The entire comic is lifted straight from Ramón Laureano's throw to first during the A's v. Angels on Aug. 11, 2018.

CF Enbyeon (Umbreon) catches the ball in their mitt while running, but LF Serpent (Bird) points to the infield that the opposing runner is trying to get back to first.
Enby then charges their arm to make a lightning cannonball throw towards 1B Necro (Delphox), who kneels to make the catch as the opponent slides into base, but the umpire gives the signal for the out, which hypes up both Enby & Serp in the outfield.

baseball lore + funny sidequest (feat. Tyson Wildwood & extra context in alt text)

Growing up in SoCal + mainly a basketball & NASCAR kid, I was a hardcore Lakers fan, and despite supporting the teams in my region (Dodgers, Rams, Ducks, etc.), I thought most other sports were boring, especially baseball. It wasn't until college where I stumbled onto MLB highlights on Youtube and Ichiro caught my eye, where slowly but surely, I'd give the sport another chance + become a Mariners fan.

Coming into the 2020s, I've started following baseball a lot more than basketball, especially with 2025's postseason. Despite how nail-biting the World Series was, I was truly rooting for the Mariners more than my Dodgers, especially Game 5 vs. the Tigers.

Context: West coast local likes to root for a team on the East (eg. Heat, NY Giants)
This is how it actually happened: I started supporting the Mets all because of that Kingpin/Mets meme.

Sometime in 2021, Vincent (my possum/roo sona) is holding his phone and laughing, "Pfffft, this is so dumb but I keep watching it. Why not? Let's go Mets, baby."

Flash forward to 2026, and the season is described with the Kiryu Slamming The Table scene from Yakuza Kiwami 2, except it's Vincent slamming the table alongside Tyson (deer) commenting, "Mets offense? Yeah, it's pretty offensive now that I think about it."
