Embracing the British part of my self and making a batch of slow cooker "baked" beans to have with breakfast.

Oh yes: did I also only eat zesty taco chips for dinner last night whilst in was working? I may have, my friends.
Was yesterday a 14-hr day? Yes. Did I finally get to bed at 10ish with a 3:45am wake up? Also yes. And I diluting m cold brew concentrate this morning? Oh no, Precious, no.

It’s a BT carousel! Wonky feather is still there so earlier visits today were probably Junior. 1-4, BT brought the big appetite 5, shins closeup for later 6, Short bake out 7-8, maybe molting, lots of preening scratching going on #birds
I'm "I just heard Everclear on the oldies station" years old.
Been awhile since I've visited this (waves arms at everything), but since I was present for a wound with "friends" (a.k.a. maggots), let's revisit this particular wound care myth. DO. NOT. LEAVE. FOOT. WOUNDS. UNCOVERED. TO. "DRY OUT". Foot wounds are a little different from other wounds.
Diabetic/neuropathy/elder foot care home remedy myths: 2. Letting wounds "air out/dry out:" - There is an old myth that wounds need to be uncovered and open to the air to heal. Not for foot wounds! The risk for slower healing and infection is increased. Cat hair and sock fuzz won't heal it faster
Podiatry Typo of the Day: Patient may return to werk without restrictions.
In this installment of "Ash Made Me Watch It," I'm trying something more mainstream with known actors (Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson) with "After.Life" We're opening strong with Liam giving creepy undertaker in the opening.
Here’s instructions on building your own Corsi-Rosenthal box.
Class, repeat after me: "AI" is not a search engine. "AI" does not search webpages and return results. "AI" scrapes together random shavings from the internet and presents them as though they're answers. If you use "AI" as a search engine, you're better off consulting your own rectum with a mirror.
Me at 4am: COLD BREW! COLD BREW! Other Me: OK Pep Squad, you're at an 11, and we need you at a 4. Me: POUR THE COLD BREW Other Me: Whoa! You gotta dilute that with water! Me: There's water in oat milk. Other Me: This is going to be bad. Me: *stares aggressively while sipping Other Me: So bad.
Big ol' black cat does not seem to care that it's 25C inside. There will be a blanket on the legs and on that blanket will be a 14 pound cat.
It’s Rock Day: Rock Check! Do you have your rock? Do you need a rock? Can you find a rock? I found this lovely porphyritic basalt in my washing machine. I love how the different crystal sizes tell a story of an eruption rudely interrupting cozy subterranean cooling. Photos & stories welcome.
He was so puffed upon his success earlier today that he wanted to face off with an off leash shepherd on our afternoon walk. Yeah. This is why he's a harness cat. Bit of a scrapper, that one.
How antisocial is our Mr. Ash? I actually had to run downstairs on hearing the most screamy cat fight yowling: it was so vigorous that it sounded like another cat broke into the house through the window screen. Nope, it was just Ash yowling at a cat on the porch.
Local apparel company is doing Piping Plover tees to celebrate 10 years of successful nesting in PA! These are so cute! #birds #plovers #conservation

Since this is popping off, Motley has racked up some vet bills, and I do make shirts and stuff to help pay for them: www.etsy.com/shop/thenigh...
When my cat goes to the vet, the vet immediately remembers her name, age, health problems and every medication she's ever been on, but when I go to the doctor, the doctor always looks at me like I'm the first person they've seen since recovering from amnesia and goes "Uhhh...do you exercise?"
Annoying interactions where Ash has been used as the opening: I was on the porch, doing a patch up of the gate. Neighbor had a yard service at work. Mr. Ash, because he wasn't in direct line of sight of me, was mrowling up a storm. Yard Guy walks past, hears this, and says "He sounds declawed!" Me:

Doggos I have not yet had the privilege to walk: piddies, dobbies, and rotties. Every one I've met has been a huge squish-face.
Five hours of sleep, 8 hr shift, 10.1 km for cat sitting and dog walking! My nighttime walk home didn't reveal any owls, but I did see a large slug, and helped a Ground Beetle flip right side up so it could trundle across the path. There's no way I'm setting an alarm for tomorrow.
Ye Owls, the Paranormal State Mothman episode. I would give my back teeth to do a nighttime Critter Crawl/Owl Prowl in the old TNT area. But first, we must pay homage to the Mothman's personal trainer.
Watching my ol' fave paranormal TV show Paranormal State. Like all such shows, it's a bit demons-running-all-through-me, but it came out a bit before the heavy push of 👻 TV as Christian morality plays. My fave is still when they venture into the (very suburban) woods. Coyotes just freaked them out.
Me: Physically crawled into bed at 10:50pm after cleaning up cat barf. Also Me: Actually cleaned zero cobwebs. Ask me how my coffee is coffeeing.
Me: Alrighty, get me to bed! Squirrel Brain: So when was the last time you swept for ceiling corner cobwebs? Me: No, that's not happening during the "sleep time on a work night" hours, not when I need to be awake at 4am. Squirrel Brain: C'mon, just one... Me: . Squirrel Brain: Check the rafters too
