Some of our evenings lately have been cool enough to produce some morning fog. Marshes are always magical places but the fog brings such a quiet beauty! As the sun came up, this female Redhead duck greeted it with an exuberant wing flap! #Birds 🪶

With breeding season winding down and migration starting up, the American Avocet’s bright orange head and neck are starting fade. Soon they’ll have the minimalist black-and-white winter look #birdsE
