I'm a theologian interested in philosophy, history of ideas and in political economics and history. My life is complete with a camera in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.

At the end of the day, whether you use AI or not when writing papers, you need to find a way to convince me through your writing that if you could rehearse a speech instead, it would have similar notes. It might contain some plastic material but I wanna know there is a brain made of flesh behind it.

I preordered the last volume of the septology “Udregning af rumfang” or “On the Calculation of Volume” the other day at @broeglitteraturbar and it was the first Volume VII to get through the cash register :) I have been told that it will be released November the 19th. 1/2

FN is challenging Meloni and her coalition by attracting the support of the most radical among their supporters. It can cost her the elections

Leader of Futuro Nazionale, Roberto Vannacci, with television anchor Bruno Vespa.

One of the most exciting things about doing social science in Madrid is how much the city is becoming a hub for top notch work. MESS brings together people doing so at different departments. It's such an amazing resource.

Very important public health announcement! Having landed in hospital on Easter Sunday 2022 - with no underlying conditions and entirely otherwise healthy- I now do it every year. Flu is a very serious disease and can kill those otherwise young and healthy if not taken seriously. Jab yourself!

just got my flu jab! hate needles but was very brave! go have your flu jab! 30 pounds is an annoying amount of money to spend but "the flu" is even more annoying than that!

“A process of creolization has already taken place among us French people, simply because we change places and adopt one another's jokes, tastes, cuisine and music. “All those dreaming of a static world are dreaming of something that no longer exists and will never exist again.”

French Presidential Candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon: “They keep talking about "native French people." “Native to what? Christian roots? What exactly are these roots? Half of people no longer live in the department they come from.

"This article was created with the support of AI tools based on XXXX content. XXXX accepts no responsibility for errors or decisions based on this information." What is the point? There is (already) so little industy content by a human with actual thoughts and critical engagement.

Instead than fantasies of ethnic cleansing, these voters mostly have progressive social attitudes, but in particular they demand educational and job opportunities, access to housing and in general a rebalancing of political and economic power away from wealthy elites.

With the constant drumbeat of far right complaints about immigration, it's easy to forget that there are other movements out there demanding social and political change. Here it is less visible - for now - but in France, Germany and Spain there is evidence of left revival

A propos of nothing: my grandfather was a politician who spent the last stretch of his career during the Berlusconi ascendance years. he'd say you can lose and lose again, but the most important act for anyone involved in politics is to preserve the seeds of anti-fascism for the next generation.

A plea to all Sr. scholars: please give credit to PhD students & early career scholars when you use or are inspired by their ideas, approaches, or topic. There's nothing more painful than seeing another scholar use your work & claim it as their own! The principles of academic research apply to all!

I wrote about the threat as well as the limits of authoritarian escalation. Trump’s schemes to subvert the midterms have so far failed. What happens next? What do authoritarians do when they are about to lose an election? My new piece:
