Falling off bikes, fighting men in swimming pools, history and rampant imposer syndrome. SGSSS funded PhD at UoGlasgow. Interested in transformations within 20C Britain. Awful spelling all my own. Constantly distracted.

Had an eventful trip to stratford. Made the boy work out how many hrs on a minimum wage job (minus rent and expenses) it would take to pay for the endless fecking crap he wanted to buy, then stopped a young girl assaulting a station ticket officer and had a stern word with her. Full on Mumming.

I did this last year and it was fantastic. Great group of people and completely safe environment to develop ideas and style. By far the most productive PhD experience I have been lucky enought to be a part of (and I got a good sleep and someone else did meals three times a day).

I dont think any site has ever radicalised me as much as this one. I reckon I will be full Thatcher by the end of the week. Marching somewhere and shouting at something by the end of the month.

Went to Southend adventure island as not the school holidays, so we were smug. Turned up on possibly the worst ever day as over 4,000 school kids were there celebrating end of term. It was chaos. And much fun. I have sunburn. Children sleepy
