The pending handover of Canadian public health guidance to GRADE pseudoscience, and possible elevation of Dr Henry to federal CMOH, highlight the fact that the best way to cover up a bunch of unnecessary deaths is to grab control of the institutions responsible for investigating and reporting them.

Country club insiders investigating their friends behind closed doors reflects our well-established tradition of burying major medical scandals. Like the Seven Oaks whitewash, that was so bad Justice Campbell added an extra section to the report of the SARS Commission while he was dying of cancer.

Seven Oaks also showed the bad side of Ontario’s response to SARS systemic problems that remain unfixed; the problems at the provincial laboratory; the two solitudes between infection control experts and worker safety experts; the exclusion of the Ministry of Labour from the centre of the investigation and the subsequent report; the occupation by the Ministry of Health of worker safety territory, where one would expect greater presence and collegial involvement by the Ministry of Labour; the failure to ensure effective consultation with safety officials from health worker unions; and the strong echo of the turf wars between the health system and the worker safety system that so bedevilled SARS. Seven Oaks demonstrated that many worker safety lessons of SARS have not been learned. The Ministry of Labour must be independent in setting workplace standards and in enforcing them. It must be an integral member of the response to any infectious disease outbreak. It must be directly involved in any post-event review of any infectious disease outbreak in which workers have gotten sick. Any post-event review of an infectious disease outbreak in which workers have gotten sick must include worker safety experts. The Seven Oaks outbreak also demonstrates the continuing reluctance of the health system to fully accept the importance of the precautionary principle in worker safety. Until this precautionary principle is fully recognized, mandated and enforced in our health care system, nurses and doctors and other health workers will continue to be at risk from new infections like SARS.
Seven Oaks also showed the bad side of Ontario’s response to SARS systemic problems that remain unfixed; the problems at the provincial laboratory; the two solitudes between infection control experts and worker safety experts; the exclusion of the Ministry of Labour from the centre of the investigation and the subsequent report; the occupation by the Ministry of Health of worker safety territory, …

For anyone who can't figure out why so many infection control docs are still desperately trying to manufacture a narrative that COVID isn't airborne, N95s don't work, and nothing could have been done differently in 2020... ...imagine having to face the guilt for this in the mirror every day.

Although this seems counterintuitive - it helps protect our population and healthcare providers in multiple ways
1) N95 / airborne are limited resources and need to be saved for patients with aerosol generation
2) Patients can effectively be screened and managed out of hospital

The negligent, outdated beliefs of medicine's management class (everywhere; from the UK inquiry here) contrasted with well-understood science from 👉1934👈. If you got sick after being told that COVID falls to the ground within 3 feet and N95/FFP2/FFP3 respirators aren't needed, 👉it was their fault.👈

The focus on handwashing over ventilation 12.32. As 2020 progressed, it was increasingly understood that airborne transmission of Covid-19 was a substantial risk and, by 23 July 2020, SAGE had endorsed the importance of good ventilation.

Reminder: In B.C 🇨🇦, top public health officials all KNEW since SPRING 2020 about C19’s ability to cause devastating multi-system/multi-organ damage via spike proteins binding w/ACE2 receptors. They even wrote all about it as per this journal article excerpt cited in my 1st #LongCovid piece below:

Next, as for what they've known, the article's introduction states that "international estimates indicate that 10% to 20% of individuals recovering from COVID-19 experience long-term complications" and "given the multiplicity of organ systems affected and the susceptibility of individuals with substantial comorbidity to the infection, impacts are likely significant." The article's overview and objectives section expands on this even further, disclosing that
"based on the known physiology of the whole-body distribution of the angiotensin converting enzyme-2 receptor and the virus binding to the receptor, the possibility of multisystem involvement became apparent early in the pandemic, fostering an urgent need for interdisciplinary collaboration. The PC-ICCN emerged through "collaboration among over 60 clinical specialists, researchers, patients, and health administrators."

Speaking of hypocrisies - & in this case, mass-disabling, life-ending, negligent & criminal ones - yes, I think we’re now past the point where not describing the yrs long accumulation of behind scenes #LongCovid knowledge by PH/gov’t as criminal, IS criminal - here again are all my pieces on that:

🧵 1/ Since the carefully crafted walls of secrecy about all that was known about #LongCovid #PCC by public health & government officials are starting to crack, I thought I’d share, in order, the pieces I’ve written to date on this subject as it relates to British Columbia 🇨🇦… #CanadaSky #Covid-19

...for everyone else: The people who made that very big mistake, minimized the reality of long-range aerosol transmission, and now refuse to even admit the fact that they made it, let alone apologize for the price we've paid... ...are grabbing for the power to tell *you* what "misinformation" is.

If they cared to learn, they'd have the experts up on stage, and public health leaders would be in the audience, listening. The fact that the people who made the mistakes are the ones platformed, shielded from questions they can't answer about mistakes they can't justify, tells you everything.

Pls read this entire thread &/or this stellar google doc piece in the post below. It provides a crucial timeline summary about the purposeful erosion of safeguards - namely RATs & wastewater surveillance - & info to help keep our population safe. Giving #Covid19 & #LongCovid full reign.

As per the photo portion below, I’ve updated my timeline summary to include Dr. Henry’s Sept 28th, 2022 press conference where she said a high rate of #Covid19 infection in kids does not translate to long term consequences. And that she would have known the opposite was true. #bcpoli

“Please note that this multitude of long COVID information via the OCSO was being received by Skowronski while she and her co-authors, including Dr. Henry, were conducting their cross-sectional SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence study. Their study's sero-surveys began in March 2020 and ended in August 2022, at which time their research concluded that the estimated infection-induced cases in B.C's children and youth had culminated to reach ~80%. Yet, between July 2021 and July 2022, Skowronski had been receiving reports that included evidence of long term symptoms in children and youth. These pediatric fact summaries and studies revealed a whole host of harms in this population group, including heart, lung and liver implications, cognitive impairment and fatigue.

Yet were families informed about the pediatric long COVID evidence, were stronger mask mandates reinstated or school air quality upgrades prioritized?

No, quite the contrary. During a September 28th, 2022 press conference, while presenting various graphs and charts, and the high COVID-19 infection rate in children, as inevitable, Dr. Henry stated, "It also shows us that children... particularly since Omicron has come on the scene, now have a very high rate of evidence of infection. But what that has not translated to is hospitalizations, severe illness or long-term consequences in children, which is the good news." (22:50 min mark).

Proof that there was never any intention to reveal the truth about what was known behind closed doors or to protect the population from a disabling virus. Even and especially our children.

Working on the campaign on the flight home, thinking about all the conversations I had with Londoners in this trip. People don’t understand what #LongCovid is - that’s what I learned from meeting people and sharing what I know with them. The root cause of Long Covid is Covid.

Julie, wearing a flomask, holding a CO2 monitor and it shows that the CO2 level on the flight is 1151ppm.

The pandemic has revealed a disturbing number of people in healthcare (especially leadership) are there just because they were good at memorizing stuff, rather than because of any real depth of understanding of health (or empathy for patients).
