So I'm used to getting spam accounts following me, bots that follow 10k people, but for the past 12 hours I've gotten followed by like 8-10 "film festival" spam accounts They've all existed for years too so I dunno why they've suddenly sll turned their sights on me

Dwarves in most fantasy novels are kinda one note and boring. People will build on orcs and goblins but for some reason Tolkein is the only one who gets to decide what a dwarf is. Not for me, though. In my novels, I did my best to make Dwarves... dwarfy, but with a uniqur and vibrant culture.

My phone, getting three texts every single day from political spam accounts sending me links to phish my phone: "looks fine to me" My phone, getting a group text my mother sent to me and my brother, both her and him are in my phone book: "This seems sketchy, be careful not to get phished!"

In a recent Game Changer episode there's a small room with like 20 white guys with glasses all yelling "YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS TO FIND GRANT. TEN. NINE. EIGHT". As someone with facial blindness and a fear of crowds, I genuinely think I'd break down and curl into a ball in that room. I would sob.

Rewatching the Ask Hank Anything video with Brennan Lee Mulligan and it's really funny cause the first fourth of it is basically just Brennan putting on a Karl Marx costume and going on a tangent for like 20 minutes while Hank can only sit there and go "uh huh :)"

Majora got in a fight with the outdoor stray cat through the window. The outdoor cat is super sweet and just ignored her though. I feel like Majora is also using her as an example, like, "see momther? I too could live outside!" No honey, you could not. "One hundred years jail for momther"

Today on stream we came up with a new light novel idea: The Grinch Who Stole Wife A Grinch sees the people in the nearby town be all happy and lovey dovey and shit and fucking hates it so he sneaks down and kidnaps the leader's wife. Turns out her husband was abusive and she falls for the Grinch.

This annoys me greatly, and it speaks to a lot of my issues with Squeenix's design philosophy in the 2020s. And honestly AAA philosophy in general. I don't even know where to START Like obviously it's wrong, cause you fit it on 2MB back in 1994. But also it's wrong cause it doesn't NEED your bloat.

A Final Fantasy 6 remake is a difficult prospect because it would need four or five games to do the story justice, Final Fantasy 14 director Naoki Yoshida says. "I understand the feelings of the players, but you’ve got to think about it," he says. www.videogameschronicle.com/news/a-final...

Zork. If you even know it exists today, its a curiosity. And you would never believe it was at one point the biggest and most important computer game. When Bobby Kotick bought Activision back in the 90s, he believed that the most important franchise he now owned was Zork. THIS THING.

An old green crt showing the first screen of Zork. You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.

what's everyone else's fab examples of once massively popular and influential landmark titles in especially western games from back in the day that have just been forgotten and abandoned completely now. mine is black and white

Any time something is weird and you're like "wake me up I must be dreaming", instead of pinching yourself to test, go "Computer, arch". If you're dreaming, congrats, your dream becomes a cool Star Trek dream. If you're not, 99% of the time nothing happens, but that 1% of the time is whats special.

Always fun when you discover a song and go "oh this is really good, lemme do some more research on it" and when you do it turns out to be one of the most acclaimed songs of all time There is so much media out there that elicits such powerful emotions, you just gotta seek it out sometimes.

Why are the only two ads on Youtube that one about the AI anime game and that cat sudoku game that's also probably AI Seriously they're the only two ads, there are no others.
