My township capped reported IQ scores at something like 140 or 150, because they only used the testing to identify kids who likely needed extra help. The kids with high scores (and whose parents told them that) couldn’t argue about their (meaningless) numbers. In retrospect, a very good policy.
Have spent the whole day mowing, trimming weeds, and doing various farm maintenance here on our property. Tomorrow I'll take the dog to the sheep farm for his herding lesson. This is apparently my life now!

Haven’t seen any chatter about this? But I am having my second bedbug encounter in under a year (currently in Montreal; the last was brought home from DC, and we successfully nipped it in the bud). Are there worsening outbreaks all over lately? I’m itchy.
Oh dear. Webmaster for an RPG fan site and game app developer, chemical instrumentation expert at Intel, and renter of professional A/V equipment. I'm basically an inorganic chemist, so I could prob learn the Intel one with some on-the-job training, but I would be awful at the others.

Tip: if you keep your GPS maps oriented north instead of always using the street view, it forces you to learn an area and build a mental map almost as effectively as paper maps do, and you can still get directions. It’s mildly uncomfortable at first, but brains adjust very quickly.
