In case anyone is under the impression that things are getting back to normal here in the U.S., yesterday 🧊 grabbed a fruit seller off the street in broad daylight in my community. This was only one of several kidnappings in the area yesterday. Don’t let the circus distract you from the ongoing harm

Police violently grab Black woman by her neck—flip her over backwards headfirst onto pavement. She was standing with her hands behind her back—not resisting being handcuffed. All while at least 4 police officers surround the woman—pointing guns directly at her. Columbus, Ohio.

We collated the latest data to enable conversations between people with Long COVID and their providers about what interventions to try. I hope this helps folks make thoughtful decisions about what is right for them & decreases some suffering ❤️‍🩹

We're thrilled to release the #LongCovid Treatment Guide! This is a collaboration with @rthm.bsky.social to help patients & providers explore treatment options together. The guide focuses on 24 medications, but includes a few other interventions for breadth /1

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

ProPublica spoke to about 150 people who had lived in homeless encampments when cities cleared them out in “sweeps.” We distributed notecards so people could tell us about the toll in their own words. ➡️ This is what they wrote: https://propub.li/3MTlm33

Handwritten notecard. Prompt at the top asks: What object was most devastating for you to lose, and how have you been coping? Answer below: Dentures. Were thrown away and coping isn't somthing I can do. It’s made me feel ugly, unworthy, can’t go get a job with no teeth. So how can get off the streets until another pair can be made?

Indiana’s Senate has voted AGAINST the GOP gerrymander that’d have locked in a 9-0 map. This keeps the 7-2 map in place, saving two Democratic seats heading into 2026. The vote failed big, 19/31. The MAJORITY of the GOP senators opposed it!

Fewer than 50 slots left in this Long Covid trial (down from 1000!) They’re especially hoping to enroll folks from North Dakota, Mississippi and Puerto Rico, as well as more BIPOC participants. To sign up: longcovid.scripps.edu/locitt-t/?ut...

PSA‼️ David Geier, the anti-vaccine conspiracist who practiced medicine without a license, now has a CDC email: be65@CDC.gov (letters and numbers are typical format for cdc addresses) Feel free to send him your questions on his “gold-plated”, ahem sorry, “gold standard science” #SandInTheGeiers

It's so weird when people can't tell they're the villains in the story. People wake up like "doo da doo time to put on my ski mask and cover my badge number like a hero would." "I'm not wrong, it's the crying family I'm tearing apart that is the problem."

She was 9 weeks pregnant. She died. The state of Georgia is making the doctors keep her alive to incubate the baby. She’s been dead for three months. This is REAL. this isn’t about what should or should not be done. This is about having a VOICE. This is about having a CHOICE.
