The artwork of Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru by Tomoyoshi Yamane used on the cover of the Japanese #GameBoy release. Removed logos/text, applying the usual upscale/clean/retouch process. I consider this game to be the spiritual predecessor of Link's Awakening.

Image depicts the main character, the Prince of Sablé wearing a red and white attire with a red cape and sword pointing while shouting, standing on a small isle with several frogs behind him with different face expressions and some doing different activities. A huge intricate golden bell can be seen further back with Mad Scienstein coming out of the bottom and Mandola behind it holding a wand and a vulture on her shoulder. The profile of Princess Tiramisu can be seen with her eyes closed a bit up. On the left side an island can be spotted further back with some clouds next to the sea line and a bright sun up with some seagulls flying towards the right. On the left side a huge palace can be seen in the middle next to the sea and above the figure of Lord Delarin with several pairs of ominous glowing yellow eyes all around.
