Corporate capture of the government brushed off like it's no big deal. It's incredibly alarming just how much influence the fossil fuel lobby has, especially at the highest levels of our bureaucracy. It's absolutely shameful.

I often always remember this scene of Measure of a Man from TNG, where Picard realises the dire moral implications of the judgement over Data, and the way in which Patrick Stewart portrays the full weight of it. RIP

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.
