Are there any studies which consider the impact of use of 780g HCL for women in pregnancy who have a higher bmi and a similar HbA1c of under 7% or who experience additional complications such as PCOS or adenomyosis? #ATTD2025 @diabeteschat.bsky.social
It hurts to repost this, but important to share. We do need tech to help us get to a place where we can better minimise high glucose levels and thrive. #T1D

Quality sleep is crucial to optimizing *time in range.* Study details "the potential detrimental role of circadian rhythm misalignment on glycemic regulation, providing evidence to incorporate sleep timing into glucose management guidelines." www.medscape.com/viewarticle/... #Type1Diabetes #T1D
Do Sleep Patterns Affect Glycemic Control?
In middle-aged and older adults, inadequate sleep duration and late sleep onset are linked to increased glycemic variability, and addressing sleep patterns may help optimize glycemic control.

📢 Promising #T1Diabetes research: Scientists studying BAT-secreted protein (nidogen-2) that could complement insulin therapy by suppressing glucagon & potentially reducing hypos-still in early mouse studies, but shows promise as additional tool w/ insulin for better T1D management. #DiabetesResearch
Studies in NOD mice identify novel BAT-secreted proteins such as Nidogen-2, a cell-adhesion protein that binds collagens I and IV and laminin, that suppress glucagon and activate BAT, representing a novel therapeutic approach to #diabetes management #T1D diabetesjournals.org/diabetes/art...
We really need to talk about #Neurodivergence and #Type1Diabetes together. We hear about Diabetes Distress these days but in my opinion, this is something at the root of a lot of it. Stigma in both that if removed and when supported with what is needed can make the world of difference.
My favourite session of the day was on neurodivergence and diabetes, a completely new topic for me. So many challenges! Jacq shared a powerful video of what a consultation feels like for her. Think listening to music, tapping your feet, clicking your fingers all while talking about basal rates
I feel like 'lax' is such a negative and loaded term especially as TIR targets are unachievable for most let alone TTIR and 'lax' seems like 'lazy' when the person is doing their best with the tools they only have access to. Would 'baseline' or 'standard' not be better? #T1D #T2D #Diabetes

FASCINATING day yesterday at the Hyperinsulineamic Clamp Day 1 Trial for Alpha MSH. I felt and saw some proper validation for how dynamic a person with #T1D 's glucose levels are. External factors impacting glucose levels are removed! #T1DResearch
It's a clinical trial morning here... Avoided a less than 3.0 hypo last night before bed by the skin of my teeth. Around 10 all night 😕But delighted to not have one in the last 48 hrs to go ahead. Now to get through the morning on just hot water and looking like this. #CoffeeAddict #T1DResearch
