I’ve just done the @anzca.bsky.social unconscious bias module on their e-learning platform. I have done some previous training and tests on this… Turns out I have a couple of biases that I haven’t noticed before specifically the halo effect. Very easy to compare our registrars to one and other… 👎

If you’re a surgeon and you send a 79 year old who’s smoked for 60 years for major surgery who is SOB w mild frailty and don’t discuss the possibility of death, major adverse outcomes, increased frailty etc and then I surprise them in clinic with talk of the same - then I will wish a pox on you FFS…
