Circuit Breaker's very much taken over my month, and luckily the Doctor's been going between the Black Archives and various locations a lot in the TARDIS! It's had some highs and lows (mainly the 3 week delay for the comic below), but it's been fun! We'll see if it can hit August's prompt too. 👀

I watched Sleep No More for this month, set on a ship in the 38th century. It's been fun rewatching Capaldi episodes and appreciating how many different genres they span, and this episode was no different! The biggest challenge was finding an episode which wasn't vaguely set in the future. 😅

This challenge ended up being very well-timed, as I, like many other fans, watched the new edition of Doctor Who: The Movie, set in San Francisco! They've done a wonderful job of updating it, and the steelbook it came in is beautiful. So glad to be able to celebrate its 30th anniversary this way!

It would've been boring to count the 3rd Doctor episodes I'm already watching, so I went for SJA's The Enemy of the Bane! The Brigadier was in top form as always, and it's fun watching Sarah Jane sneaking around UNIT after knowing them for so long. Always love an excuse to watch SJA!

Rewatched 'The Eaters of Light' by Rona Munro. I've been watching a lot of Classic Who and wanted to see if having someone who'd written for both eras would bridge the gap, and it did! Perfect for New Who, but I can also see how easy it would be to split into 6 episodes like a Classic serial.

Cutting it a bit fine this month, but my sister and I rewatched 'The Witchfinders' for this one! A great cast and lots of fun, so I'm glad it was as enjoyable to watch as the first time around. (And if anyone's interested in a spoilery review of the episode... tardis.guide/reviews/stor...)

This local Wolfdog joined an Olympic ski event and triggered the finish-line camera. This is Nazgul. He snuck into a cross-country skiing sprint this morning and raced the homestretch with some competitors before being escorted home. 14/10 someone get him a medal

I'm firmly in the Jo Grant era of my Classic Who marathon and didn't want to skip ahead, so thought I'd try something different! Tom Allen does a fab job with Oliver's introduction, the story is exciting and I'm already tempted to buy the next story. A great change of pace from the TV episodes!

While it may seem redundant to say “pump it up” after encouraging the listener to “pump up the jam,” the author is underscoring the urgency of pumping up said jam; leaving us to ponder the bleakness of living in a world devoid of it.

Starting July 25, Bluesky will require users in the UK to scan their face, upload an ID or verify their identity with a bankcard. I realize that platforms feel they have no choice but to comply with the government surveillance schemes, but shocking nonetheless.
