32BJ SEIU members have voted today to authorize a strike if a contract is not reached for 34,000 residential building service workers in New York City by midnight, April 20th. The real estate industry is trying to increase healthcare costs for workers and create a two tier workforce

Over decades of struggle, we have built up a union contract that offers New York City residential building service workers a pathway to the middle class.   But with rising costs, too many of us are falling behind.
We must move forward, not backward. #WeMakeNYCHome

NYC's 34,000 doormen, cleaners and security officers are essential to our city. They deserve fair wages, strong healthcare coverage & a secure retirement. I stand with @32bjseiu.bsky.social workers rallying for a fair contract — and will be there on the picket line for however long it takes.

NY's 34,000 doormen, supers, handymen, and other building workers keep our city running — and they deserve a fair contract, a living wage, and the dignity that comes with both. Now it's our turn to show up for them. I stand proudly with @32bjseiu.bsky.social.

On Friday, Assemblymember Khaleel Anderson joined AGI workers to deliver a petition to AGI’s management at JFK – demanding safety on the job, respect and job security, and the pay and time off workers are owed. AGI’s manager refused to accept the petition. /3
