Also, do you notice how whenever the subject of violence against queer people in predominantly Muslim countries is brought up, it's never acknowledged that the victims of that violence are most likely also Muslim? It's an intentionally deceptive rhetorical framing.
"They'd throw you off a building" Yeah, and you motherfuckers would laugh. Whenever queer people are subject to violence in Muslim countries, it's never a subject of genuine horror and outrage for these people, it's the punchline to a sick joke, or fodder for a scaremongering campaign.
Really tired of having LGBTQ rights brought up as a bully stick by Islamophobes. "If you lived in a Muslim country-" well I don't, man. The vast majority of the people who hold institutional power in any western country are Christians, and guess who's best represented among people trying to kill me?

For 25+ hours, ICE had been laying siege to a quiet neighborhood in Frederick, MD. Community members were afraid, some didn’t want to leave their homes. ICE vehicles seemed to be lurking on every corner.
