This picture should haunt Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the nation's top diplomat and the National Security Advisor, who is complicit in this disastrous war (cc @dandrezner.bsky.social). The NYT reporting shows he had reservations and did nothing to try to stop it. And gutted the State Dept.

So the Trump administration’s two goals in peace talks with Iran are: 1. A commitment by Iran not to develop a nuke (This was part of the Obama deal that Trump canceled) 2. Opening the Strait of Hormuz. (Was open before war.)

As of this afternoon, ICE has purchased 11 warehouses for conversion into detention camps. 11 sales have been canceled. ICE has spent $1.04 billion on warehouse acquisitions. It will cost the government an estimated $7.57 billion to operate all 11 warehouses per year.
