For any fellow European researcher using Anthropic's API billing system (API, not the e.g. Pro account), have you been able to have your university's VAT number appear in the invoices? I can't make it work and without that, I can't use my research funds to do research 🙃

In 2010 I spent the world cup final watching a movie, alienated by Spanish nationalism. 16 years later, I went out with my family to celebrate in the streets of Lavapiés, the most mixed-nation spot in Madrid. It was beautiful to see so many different people wrapping the Spanish flag with love.

FOMO is real! I won't be attending #ICA26 (😟), BUT Kim Andersen will presenting our research "The Paradox of Negative News: Disentangling Engagement and Avoidance Over Time", tomorrow at 15h local time, at the top papers session in the journalism division 🙌

To all evil men of the world (and women, but let's be honest, the balance is def. men-tilted aka politicians): I wish you an afterlife where all you do is grade an infinite pile of AI-generated college papers. Which makes me wonder, what I did I do in my previous life to deserve this?!

The National Science Foundation is the main source of funding for basic sciences in the US. For decades, they have supported a scientific R&D ecosystem in the US that has been an engine of economic growth and competitive advantage. Destroying the agency is no less than an act of sabotage.

Raise your hand if your mental health also raised since Orbán lost. 🤚 To clarify, I am not Hungarian. But seeing how populist autocratization is a contagious illness, I am hoping that it also works the other way around.
