And it's gonna be because the institutional memory got obliterated in layoffs, senior skills demolished, team synergy/morale wrecked while Money Guys were pivoting + derailing entire studios to squeeze more $$$ It's gonna be cause of the human cost. Don't blame the wounded when you start to feel it
This is what's happening in the video game industry right now. Corpos used to be able to rely on a steady stream of optimistic young people willing to do *anything* to Work In Games. I was one of them. But it's straight up not sustainable anymore.

Devs, pay attention to who is actually, practically offering support to our laid off colleagues. It’s not the companies, it’s not the ESA, it’s the union, it’s us.
