AWS, Azure and Google Cloud built customer-facing carbon footprint dashboards not because any law required it (it still doesn't) but bc enough large customers asked about the carbon intensity of their service. so why don't you ask that question on Slack next time your company holds an "AI week"? ;)
if you find yourself in this category; i highly recommend github.com/gwittebolle/... the CO2 footprint is about what you'd expected (not great; not terrible. about one domestic flight / year). what's interesting is keeping track of token cost and being reminded the plans are 10x substituted

i was convinced it's AI after watching the water in the tub defy the physics of fluid dynamics but if there was any doubt, i agree the ice cubes bowl one is painfully obvious fake.. i knew it was too round to be true! ffs not even otters are safe now >.>
