Uber just announced it will lay off 10% of its workforce, or around 3,300 workers. Last year, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi made $35M — 360 times his median employee's pay — and announced a $20B stock buyback program to further enrich shareholders and himself. Textbook corporate greed.

The ONLY reason why he did it is because someone told him he would lose the support of Tennessee and other red states if he didn’t lower the flags. He did it out of self preservation. He didn’t do it after Rep. Melissa Hortman was murdered, he wanted to piss off Minnesota.

There’s a reason Dr. King's historic August 28, 1963 rally was called “The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.” As he warned the nation, "We all too often have socialism for the rich and rugged free market capitalism for the poor." Real freedom requires economic freedom for all.
