Plaything of the winds. Professional cat herder, part-time writer, dancer, time traveler extraordinaire. Moss gardener, fencer, needleworker, crocheter, and user of the serial comma.

Greetings, new followers who aren't bots! Brief synopsis: I'm your friendly neighborhood NPC druid who likes to write, tend moss gardens, and make weird tiny art! I'm allergic to the sun (THE SUN!!!) and am a delicate alpine flower who would REALLY love to live above the 50th parallel...

It's me, taking a selfie on a black sand beach in Iceland, the week I leveled up to Level 50 Human! I'm wearing a heather-purple long-sleeve shirt, and a wide-brimmed hat with a multicolored pashmina draped around it, sunglasses on my head. The sky is actually blue with some clouds, and the sun is out! (Which is why I have on the wide-brimmed hat and the scarf...)

This is really cool - though, of COURSE one of my panels is up against one of his panels! 🙃 (Fortunately, it'll be recorded, which is about as close to being able to getting access to a time machine as one can get at a Worldcon in this century...)

So... on a whim, I decided to audition for a play, this evening. I feel... like I may have nailed it. Either that, or was Just Not The Right One, because when it came time to read sides in groups, I was in the first group, and the third-to-last group, with over an hour in between...

I'm going to have a blog post about this soon, but being able to officially open the doors on the Coyote & Crow Storyteller program is huge. And @arcanecirclegames.bsky.social is a big part of that. Having official Storytellers will really help us grow.

I finally pulled the plug and ordered a new pair of hiking shoes. My sweet little Merrells - which I've had since 2017, and which have taken me over mountains and Mexican pyramids and through 11 countries - are shedding their lining, and aren't really good for long distances, anymore.

our entire global financial system is currently leveraged to the hilt on the premise that it was good and right for a small cadre of US companies to steal all of the intellectual work ever produced by humanity and sell its back to us without credit or remuneration to the authors (plagiarism)

Introduce yourself as what almost killed you: Hi, I'm the American health insurance company that wanted the doc to do an ablation rather than a hysterectomy to get rid of a uterine-wall-breaching tumor the size of a premature baby.

Hi, I'm the load of lumber someone threw down an attic stairs when I was helping build sets for a high school play, and I only stepped aside a split second before they threw it

I had a doctor appointment in Bloomington, and on the way back, I drove through THIS for a good 25 miles of poking along at 35mph or less with flashers on, because the rain was SO DENSE... and it never even rained at my house!!! I can't believe I have to water the plants, myself...

Someone told me "Bluesky is just like Twitter." I argued that was untrue on the basis that last time I had a Twitter account most times I got a new follower their bio said "single & looking for fun" & here when I get a new follower it tends to say something like "professor of rare moths".

Do any of you use Ko-Fi? What are your thoughts on it? It was suggested to me as an option for posting my art and for being able to take commissions or sell one-offs... and not have to actually have an actual online store. It LOOKS simple enough... but how does income tax work with it?
