The WI Governor's Democratic Primary is getting so heated I felt like I had to make a video. Deep breaths everyone - even if you don't like one or more of the Democratic candidates, we should all focus on defeating Tom Tiffany.

What's the best three album run from a band? (the correct answer is Moving Pictures, Signals, and Grace Under Pressure by Rush, but I'm excited to learn second place)
Solar panels and farming work very well together. Opposing solar panels because you're worried about farmland is just wrong.
In happier news, it turns out that blueberries grown beneath solar panels turn out sweeter! 🫐 (via @billmckibben.bsky.social)
As we all deal with devastating wildfires caused by global warming, Tom Tiffany stands against clean renewables. He'd be a disaster as Wisconsin's governor. www.weau.com/2026/08/01/c...
One of my, many, flaws is the fact that I truly believe that good people will vote in their best interest. I have seen the Democratic party burn good candidates to the ground over and over and yet... here I am again believing that the people will elect the right person in November. We will see.
We're not taking Bari Weiss' CBS News seriously, are we? There's no way Fran would be polling this well (primary and general) without a ton of liberal support.
Liberals will always choose fascism over socialism.
I'm not as dialed in as some people but I heard a lot of rumors out there around Barnes this time around. So I guess I'm not surprised.
EXCLUSIVE: Mandela Barnes is considering dropping out of the primary for Wisconsin governor as state Democrats brace for damaging articles about him to publish.
It's not over until it's over, but...this is pretty close to over.
NEW MARQUETTE POLL, DEM PRIMARY Hong: 38 Barnes: 16 Crowley: 7 Roys: 2 Brennan: 2 (Undecided: 34) With leaners (after asking undecideds to choose): Hong: 46 Barnes: 21 Crowley: 11 Roys: 4 Brennan: 4 (Undecided: 14)
Plus the drop box at City Hall if you've already got your absentee!
We'll see what happens, but consider having an alternate plan to voting by mail (or at least mail your ballot back well in advance). Verona offers early in person voting by the way.
Update: Trump administration asks U.S. Supreme Court to uphold restrictions on mail-in ballots wisconsinexaminer.com/2026/07/27/r...

That town in question being the City of Verona. Flock did not make it easy to remove these cameras. I believe that was a deliberate strategy on their part. www.404media.co/flock-object...

Completely agree with this. I've got $100 to whoever the Democratic nominee for governor is.
friendly reminder to *everyone* out there that regardless of who your preferred candidate is in the primary we need to unite behind one person in 3 weeks: chill on the friendly fire and let's remember that defeating Tiffany is goal #1

under questioning from Pocan, UN Ambassador Mike Waltz admits he hasn't read a State Dept report about Cuba, but suggests he doesn't have to because "I am very familiar as a native Floridian"
Concise thread on state of WI gov race. I’d add Crowley was unknown to me & seemingly to most in WI as he never really clicked and then dropped out. But psych, now he’s endorsed by Evers. That seems awkward at best and more likely sketchy. Too late, IMO. I think @wisdems.org afraid of Hong winning.
Ramble on the WIGovernor's Race: Way early in the race, I spoke with Sara Rodriguez and agreed to support her because she seemed very competent and she had a good plan for working through the legislature and getting a bunch of stuff done. 1/n
Ranked choice voting would be great. It's probably the best way to ensure we get the strongest candidate out of the primary.
We need ranked choice voting to ensure this doesn’t happen again. I was and am supporting Hong but we have some good candidates. I wish Sara had heeded that advice.
Seriously. I still find that surprising that those two people are Senators for the same state at the same time.
Something I think as an outside e is Wisconsin seems uniquely polarized in that it can elect both Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin
