How does any of this shit work anymore? Australian. Embarrassed US citizen.

There is a flood of Linux-based TUI and/or utility apps that are clearly AI product and I’m conflicted because it’s great to see additions to the Linux ecosystem but disheartening that they’re all mostly garbage.

Ken Burns American Revolution is amazing and going to be massively polarizing. But not as much as Ken Burn - Electric Light Orchestra

Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

I'm forming an opinion that code-focused "AI" sucks because it's being asked to do the absolute wrong things. It shouldn't be writing code "from scratch" because it can't do that well. It can't even really copy code well because everyone keeps saying "it's not really production ready".

Streaming service metadata be like (image). Also, you used to be able to report issues and sometimes they actually used to pretend to care.

Oasis albums with one that is clearly mis-categorized.

In my youth, I was always so critical of music and what was cool. In my heady days I realise how foolish I was and how great the music was. It's not to late though. There is so much good music out there that isn't mainstream.

I think I'm going to just let Google close all my Android developer accounts because I'm tired of fighting to keep them open. I have no current apps but I paid the fee. If they want money, just charge me annually and go away.

Generally, I will always click no on any prompt asking me to share anonymous data. That said, I feel like I could be persuaded to share data IF there was more transparency regarding the data being collected and how it is being used. It's crazy how many times these prompts have no explanation.

If you're a @kagi.com user, like me, I highly recommend instructing Kagi to filter out any results from Medium. Worth it. If you reeeally want them, you can also use Lenses to conditionally return them.

Who is posting here content about #Ruby or #Rails or any other Ruby framework and I should follow? :) Looking to expand the network of people I follow/watch directly or via lists and that I can include in the newsletter.
