Recently finished the 'new' models and am feeling like I've hit the end of the road with deepkin (for now...) so with a bit of help from @ghbair.bsky.social took a snap of my entire collection. Definitely the army I am most happy with!
The Xbox price rises are an absolute joke. £500 for a console with 512gb of storage that can barely play the games being released on it. The factors that have lead to this rise are also entirely within Microsoft’s control. Clown shit.

Quite conflicted on The Odyssey, but ultimately glad it exists. Sound design is wonderful and the costume design for Agamemnon is extremely good. Flat affectation in the dialogue really didn’t do it for me though, only Pattinson gets to act.
Mike Flanagan being attached to the nascent Warhammer 40,000 show at Amazon is great news.

Over a year ago, a Dutch frog science magazine emailed me asking if they could include my comic in their upcoming issue about dart frogs. They were interviewing the scientist who first described the blue poison dart frog; he had seen and liked the comic. They mailed me a copy, which just arrived:
I am reading Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds, and got to the first mention of the concept of Revelation Space and about 100 Kindle users have underlined it. Like finding a library copy of a book with the sentence featuring the title underlined three times.

(she's also a professional old person; she was on Good Morning Britain last year, and then also at the Nov budget, and the year before lmao)
£8 worth of Hungarian mixed grill I left about half of the meat and salad and have rarely felt so sated.

I am currently picking my way very slowly through A Fire Upon the Deep which is an interesting book with some fun ideas bubbling up to the surface. The “zones of thought” idea is a really interesting way of handling transcended species existing in the same setting as sub-light civs.
Sam Neill is a great loss. I once jokingly tweeted that I was agog he had a career after his wild-eyed turn in Possession, and he replied that he’d been trying to figure it out for years himself.
Got a nice little gift yesterday, here’s to many more years in the Warhammer studio
