Some friends wanted to see the whacky husband on our recent trip to Shasta. He confirmed that his dead wife did not follow conventional medical advice but theorizes that because cancer has different DNA (hello mutations!) it is a "parasite" and should be treated with.... wait for it .... I want to blame her whacky husband who had bought into the Q conspiracy theory, but she was an adult who made her own decisions.
Look, I'm no financial whiz, but I'm thinking of setting up an investment advisory firm called Red Flag Financials that advises against investing in companies based only on their names. I would've definitely advised not to invest in Investment Securities, Fraud Guarantee, or Situational Awareness.

Things I and friends have done to calm an angry abusive man from further escalating and killing us or our children: -Smiled -Kept normal schedules in order not to trigger a fight -Appeased with kind acts (cooking, cleaning, favors) -Forced friendly tones and words

“If this was true, I would be in jail” is not a real profession of innocence; it is a brag about how strenuously the state protects the male right of private sphere violence against women and children.

And how rarely those things happen to abusers, esp. high-status white male abusers.
I love a good apron, a full one with pockets, preferably. The only drawback is when I take it off, I forget I'm no longer wearing it and continue to wipe my hands in my clothes.

Just cos something's a "social construct" doesn't mean it's not real or powerful, or that it should be ignored or abandoned.

Just came across these old headlines about the planned development at Candlestick, the first which says they will start work in 2025, the second which says they will start work in early 2026. Then the plan changed to mid-year, and now it's September 2026. Hopefully it will happen before 2027...

With so many fake scam texts, a few of my friends and I are coming up with an easily remembered word that no one could guess that we can use to confirm we are who we are. So if you ever get a text from your friend asking for money in an emergency, ask them what the word is.
