This mosaic comes from the east church at Theodorias (modern Qasr in Libya 🇱🇾) & shows a fish sinuously swimming. Originally, the church had 50 mosaics on its floor. They have now been removed and placed in the nearby, purpose-built museum. 🕰️c540AD 📷 @jonalendering.bsky.social #MosaicMonday

Today we visited a fabulous exposition in the Stedelijk Museum in #Schiedam, showing works by Yves Klein together with such by his father, Frits Klein, his mother, Marie Raymond and his wife, Rotraut Uecker - all three very good artists. Including a painting of baby Yves :)
I somewhere saw that tinyurl is from “tiny url”. This is wrong. It is a yearl made of tin in American spelling and should be pronounced accordingly. (okay, I am the same person who thought the Flatiron building was names after a Marquis de Flatiron)
