Been trying to offset the bad couple of days with a long-overdue binge of the live-action ONE PIECE. Impression: Holy hell, the series is much better than it has any right being. It's everything the COWBOY BEBOP adaptation should have been in terms of execution & translation of the source material.

And it makes me really sad because I was really digging it up until now. It’s literally a combination of the city gutting my bus routes and work drama. No fault of my own. Just… FML.

Spent the day in Chicago yesterday with friends. We went to the MSI for the Spider-Man exhibition and had some killer ramen. Given the way my morning has been going so far, I really wish I was back there.
Welp it happened. As of today, I’ve survived 40 years through the chaos this life has to offer, and cleared the Otaku Expiration Date. Friends past & present, I salute you. I wouldn’t be here without you. Mom, Dad — wish you were here. Everyone else, all my love. Let’s do this.

I ran into my 1st grade teacher who was out with her husband for some holiday shenanigans. She remembered me instantly. I gave her the cliff notes of everything that’s happened since the last time I saw her. She gave me the biggest hug and says she’s proud of me. Felt like a million bucks.
