So it turns out that Ryota Kawade, director of the first three Paper Mario games, directed Dragon Hopper. Not only was this the first game that he directed but also the ONLY game he directed outside of the Paper Mario series.

Considering this was developed by Intelligent Systems and was scrapped one year before PM64 started development, I wouldn't be surprised if some of this game's ideas were carried over.
finally played Zero Racers. bro. this game is hard to play. it's harder to play than any of the other F-Zero games. these controls are so weird.
i suppose telling someone that a game gets worse as it goes on counts as a spoiler. as much as you'd want to prevent someone from a big disappointment, spoiling that might be worse overall.
