Teams with higher payrolls stink. Teams with lower payrolls are right in it. The fact that the Dodgers are VERY good and have a VERY high payroll is going to be used deceptively, in bad faith, to try to pit fans against the union.

I’m outlining a WIP I’ve been researching for a while, and I always have the same problem: I know very strongly where I want to start and end, but the entire middle is a mystery to me. How do you get from point F to point R??

The ATLA movie was so good and so cinematic, it’s such a shame it’s been jerked around so much. It was so much fun to see it a theater, and wonderful to spend time again with these characters I’ve loved dearly for 20+ years

Between this and the discovery that solar panel shade can actually _increase_ certain crop yields, people are discovering that there are truly extraordinary opportunities to make better use of the earth's surface area with solar panels. There's so much power waiting to be harnessed!

A Chilean salmon farm now draws about 57% of its power from panels laid over the water, cutting roughly 136,000 litres of diesel a year and silencing the generators. With the noise gone, thousands of salmon have gathered in the shade beneath the arrays. Ecoportal buff.ly/CwczkbP #ShareGoodNewsToo

Tried to get Avatar Aang tickets and the AMC app didn’t open them at 6am so by the time it opened, all the showtimes had been filled on Fandango. And now every time I see a seat I want in any combination of numbers (1 , 2, 3,) by the time I finish my order I get an error because someone else got it

This sucks. Hopefully only the true believers go and the rest feel ok opting out. It’s an off day between Philly and NY series and a total pain in the ass. Plus I’d imagine most of them would rather spend the day in NYC than schlepping to DC, all things being equal.

Dodgers statement: “As was the case one year ago, the Dodgers’ upcoming visits to the White House and Capitol Hill follow the longtime tradition of visits by other World Series champions. We appreciate these tributes in recognition of our back-to-back championships.”

I’m very loud about my favorite Dodger being Will Smith and that means people tend to assume I have a crush on him, which is really annoying to me. Can a girl not appreciate a talented catcher without it being a crush? Besides obviously the hottest Dodger is Kiké

I drive a very small hatchback and some of my family encourages me to get a bigger car because it’s so much smaller than other vehicles now but I don’t want to be in a giant car arms race! I live in a city! Small zippy cars that let you see pedestrians and squeeze into parking spots are better!

"based on the best available data, the model reached a sobering estimate: The shift toward vehicles with higher hoods caused about 3,000 deaths from 2016 to 2024. The estimate is conservative in many ways." www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

Brief rant: Yes it's cool that Brunson took less money so the Knicks could build a champion under the salary cap. But he shouldn't have *had* to. Salary caps are just tools billionaires use to suppress wages, and no one gets upset because the labor (pro athletes) make so much money. 1/5

Where did this bowl slop backlash come from?? Bowls are the perfect food. You have grains, veggies, protein, slather them in tasty sauce, make it whatever cuisine you want it to be. It’s everything you could want from a meal

Some recent books I LOVED: - The Wolf Den trilogy by Elodie Harper - The Possession of Alba Diaz by Isabel Cañas - The Starving Saints by Caitlin Starling - Pockets by Hannah Carlson - Where Nobody Knows Your Name by John Feinstein And last but not least The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow

This is your periodic reminder that word of mouth moves more books than any formal advertising! I invite you to rec something you've recently enjoyed -- preference for the stuff that's *not* already extremely well-known and talked about everywhere.
