I feel like I make this post every few months, but maybe I should just be mean now. If you're still using Twitter for whatever cope ass reason you've made up for yourself, you're the problem. The only reason it continues to function with relevance is because you and those like you refuse to leave.

"Grok allowed the man to generate extreme images depicting incest and rape [of his 11 year old stepdaughter] without flagging any harmful behavior... Seemingly, xAI’s child safety system only intervened after the man input a prompt for “gang rape.”"

I keep seeing people thinking this is a bluesky problem. If you're seeing this it thinks you're in a state or country with age verification laws. This is what every social media site will do if KOSA and the KIDS Act succeeds. Running to another socmed won't fix it, we have to fight the source.

Well i dont know how long this login session is gonna last but @bsky.app just asked me to do an age verification with personal information. If this happens again i will not attempt to log back in. If i dont post here again let bsky know that i prefer my privacy over this platform.

Looks like the Sony PR team has begun its consent manufacturing operation among the media in the past 24 hours. I wonder how many other gaming outlets and influencers this week will also happen to put up posts/articles/videos declaring that eliminating physical media from consoles is good, actually?

Tweet from the official Gizmodo account posted 16 hours ago linking to an article with the headline “Game Discs Deserve to Die.” The accompanying photo is that of a hand with painted fingernails placing a silver-bottomed disc into a PlayStation 5.Tweet from the official Polygon account posted 23 hours ago stating “I won’t mourn Playstation discs” with a link to a self-styled “spicy takes” op-ed column. The accompanying photo is of a PlayStation 4 ejecting a copy of 2013’s Killzone Shadow Fall, the first PS4 title to sell over one million copies whose servers were nevertheless shut down in 2022 such that all you can do with a copy these days is play its lackluster single player campaign.

this is the guy who SA’d me if you’re friends or have him in your server i recommend blocking him, i know for a fact i’m not the only person he’s hurt from what i know, he has been banned from the con for life tysm to the convention staff and security for dealing with this swiftly and discretely

not so friendly reminder that if you touch somebody without consent, that is sexual assault i had to start my work day by hiding in a corner of the dealers den crying my eyes out because some idiot groped me last night you do not have the right to put your hands on me just because i am trans

this whole online ID verification push stuff is turning me into a weird crank at rapid speed because I've never seen such an unpopular policy forced through with such speed in so many countries simultaneously with basically zero real consent from any population, just pure elite collusion

This is literally why there's a bipartisan effort to remove internet access from young people. It's an attack on queer people, leftists, and anyone who questions authority. They don't want our children finding out that MLK and Frida Kahlo were socialists or that Stonewall was a riot.

Having social media access made growing up gay 1 million times easier (I don’t think I would even know I was gay as a teen if it weren’t for social media), but it also made growing up progressive and informed possible. Social media was where I learned about abortion rights, for starters

i really want to show my appreciation to the deltarune team for the insane chapter that they had to make besides toby fox and temmie chang, i honestly think they don't get enough credit + recognition for their efforts to the rest of team, thank you for making another beautiful chapter 🙏

Illegal gambling sites. Illegal cab companies. Illegal hotels. Crypto for criminals. “Full Self-Driving.” The wholesale theft of billions of copyrighted works for AI. Surveillance capitalism. Automated price-fixing. Election rigging via media manipulation. Big Tech is organized crime.

never forget that if it wasn’t how offensively sexual and weird the furry fandom is, it would be taken over by corporations in a heartbeat our freakiness is the only armor we have against being hollowed out and turned into a playground for cis-het ppl, like everything else

Most Furry discourses can be boiled down to "I think we should gut the community of its character to appeal to those who only appreciate furry at an aesthetic surface level"

I know we all know this, but just to reiterate, when a company lays off workforce *without itself closing* what the executives are actually doing is stealing the future wages of their workers - wealth that the workers themselves generated - to line their own cash-stuffed pockets.

When they lay you off, they aren’t just taking your job, they are helping themselves to your wages, too. Having their cake and eating it. The only way to stop them is via the leverage of an entire workforce united. Bread for all, and roses too: for we are many, and they are few.

elephant in the room but we are seeing a lot of this with jax tadc. while i respect the Intent wrt everyone respecting the pronouns of a fictional character, as a result the fanbase has now COMPLETELY spoiled the entire character arc for new fans. only -you- got to experience the OG story. lol

a 'spoiler etiquette' concept ive noticed that nobody fucking follow nowadays is like. understanding/respecting a new watcher's perspective. eg GoT. if u say "In S3, tyrion -" you have now spoiled that he DOES NOT DIE in s1 +s2. a fan on S1 will not feel any tension when hes being attacked. oops!

Hey so this new KOSA/KIDS Act proposal has a little note in it that creates a whole new special Trump-appointed team to regulate the internet. So no more Congress votes. No more checks & balances. Just whoever the president picks to decide the future of YOUR internet. You aren’t mad enough.
