Hey so my wonderful gorgeous mischievous fiend of a play partner is getting bottom surgery next year and is saving for the procedure and associated costs; if you’re in a position to be able to contribute, it would mean a lot to me:

My name is Amie, and I run a lot of TTRPG and LARPing events in Asheville, so… Amie Tracey needs your support for Support Lexi’s Gender Confirmation Surgery

I have no desire to hold public office & am entirely unelectable besides. my recreational habits in 1986 alone disqualify me. but I'm running for president anyway & my entire platform is "when you need your health care provider, you get a live operator every time." I will win in a landslide

As a trans lady I have a superpower for dodging spam calls because I answer the phone and the people trying to sell Sirius XM or aftermarket warranty coverage for a car I sold in 2017 are all like “oh I’m sorry I was looking for [deadname] but obviously I have the wrong number sorry ma’am”

I also caught a block over this (admittedly I wasn’t half as nice as Sage was, but I really think that being an ally precludes making dismissive little snarks when confronted with mild pushback about how the pillars of liberal cishet society are engaged in a coordinated project to extirpate us)

this is actually kind of a fucked-up, sneering way to talk to trans people about trans people

wow, i was not expecting to be blocked by @kenjennings.bsky.social over this. We’ve previously interacted in friendly ways, so i reached out in good faith & not trying to drag him. I was giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe his transphobic behavior was unintended. really disappointing.

dawg i haven’t been home in a month, i’m gonna straight up lose it, i needed to enter my address on a form and i had to think about it for like 30 dreadfully long and uncomfortable seconds to remember what it even was

Britain needs to be occupied by a powerful foreign entity that relentlessly directs their economy toward the production of air conditioners and institutes a national policy of Be Normal About Trans People Or Else

scrolled past this on my timeline and thought they had Thomas the Tank Engine faces and I was disappointed when on closer inspection they did not. so I made some mock-ups of what Thomas the Tachikoma would look like because the idea amuses me to no end:

Had a strong urge for a chibi #tachikoma from #gits so I printed one, assembled and painted it instead of doing any work at all today. My brushwork sucks and my printer settings definitely need some refinement but I am more pleased than this guy is

every once in a while you encounter a completely new sentence, like “the diarrhea lettuce is incredibly unethically sourced,” and it cracks your skull open another couple of degrees to remind you very viscerally that this is hell

Chad Loder@chadloder.dev · 4d ago

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

It used to be the case that, every time there was a mass shooting, social media would stop and do the performative argument dance. “We don’t have to live like this” vs “Stop politicizing a tragedy.” And at a certain point, this stopped happening even on Twitter and Bluesky.

El Sayed: "When it comes to trans rights, this is the right to get the health care that you need...It’s the right not to be discriminated against by your government because of who you are. Because what tends to happen is they come for theirs, then they come for yours"

The idea that we can assent to the taking away of anybody’s rights, and think that somehow the government won’t come for all of our rights, is itself the problem. And, look, I don’t need people to understand how they use their rights. I just need people to agree that the government shouldn’t be able to take any of our rights. I put my face on the ground thirty-four times a day, David. Most people don’t understand why I do it. I don’t need them to understand. I just want to have the right to do it. And when people decide that they want to take away my right to do that, I’ve got a problem. Now, I hope that everybody’s going to show up and say, No, no, no. You can’t stop that person or that community from reflecting and praying as they choose. Similarly, when it comes to trans rights, this is the right to get the health care that you need. That’s really what it comes down to. It’s the right to be who you are. It’s the right not to be discriminated against by your government because of who you are. Because what tends to happen is they come for theirs, then they come for yours, then they come for theirs. And at some point you live in a society where rights are negotiable, and that is not the America I was born in. It’s not the America I know and love. It’s not the America I’m going to allow somebody like Donald Trump to give us.

knowing ahead of time that Reacher is about a really large man who appears to have grown his muscles exclusively for the purposes of respecting women did not even slightly prepare me for how large he is or how much he respects women
