Probably the earliest encounters people on the internet had with AI enthusiasts were people rubbing their hands with glee over the death of creative jobs, like actively malicious and spiteful people going "I can't wait for you guys to lose your jobs and be broke, hahaha fuck you!"
AI-enthusiasts will act like they're being burned at the stake meanwhile if you say 1 bad thing about the virtual child porn generating genie theyve created in the computer they'll portray you as a luddite neanderthal who hates technology and insist you just dont understand the genie's inevitability
"Why wasn't this piece of art more explicit with its messaging" cause it would have sucked ass Bob. Telling people the truth isn't as effective as making them experience it. That's why it's art and not an essay.
