I'll only disagree with this to say that this has been the case for basically as long as elfgames have existed. Check out old Mage vs. Mage Revised flamewars. Every edition of D&D has been like this. It's an all-timer

One of the (many) issues with the current state of the TTRPG community at large is that if you make a new edition of a game it cannot be meaningfully different from the previous one otherwise people will hold it against you.

I was googling some dialog from a puzzle in genshin impact to identify which puzzle it is so I could find hints, and the google AI seems to think I've been in some kind of coma or cryostasis for hundreds of years? this is genuinely the weirdest one of these I've ever seen

my Google search (rough quote from a Genshin Impact puzzle) said "long has been my slumber. water and soil such drastic changes" and the AI at the top of the Google search gave..... this response.
