Sometimes I feel like "smh people just can't draw like they did back in the day", But then periodically I'm proved wrong, people totally could make animation like Akira, or the classic Disney stuff. And these days its some of the same animators who can do both action-anime and classic Disney styles!

#stevenuniverse I've been watching Steven Universe with my partner (husband) recently -- here is my rendition of Lapis. I wanted to draw her in afghan (pashtun) attire because one of the biggest deposits of Lapis Lazuli is found in Afghanistan.
Said everything, these are some of the 2D shots (there are more but these are my favorite) from the movie. I learned so much from the 2D team, full of incredible people, Michael, Husain, and Jacob Tobin that helped me to finish that Ocean Spirit shot. Despite everything, I'm happy for being here 🥹

those new flip phones are really appealing to me, but I would need to dual wield like I did in uni. I had a phone for actually talking to people and an ipod touch for apps. similarly, a lot of stuff now does depend on apps and email- 2FA to log into my job, boarding passes for flights/busses etc.

A far-future, post-apocalyptic 42nd century Brazil, as envisioned with generous dollops of French artist Moebius inspiration. 📺: Dragon's Heaven (1988, Makoto Kobayashi).
ooh we are so close to halfway to our goal with this! Get some indie artists paid and get some money to a really good cause, plus you get 30 amazing comics for a very good price? Seems like a good deal I think: itch.io/b/3727/scott...
