🧵 1/ After another week of reporting on Nigel Farage and Reform UK’s finances, I still have major questions about who is actually funding them, and whether it was properly declared. Farage and his cronies have responded with bluster and mudslinging. So let's look at the actual facts.

What are the latest allegations about Nigel Farage’s funding?

Reform UK leader received financial support from a convicted fraudster for staffing, security and housing

It was great to meet with Exolum and 7CO2 to hear about their plans for a UK-leading carbon capture, utilisation and storage terminal at Avonmouth Docks. This project could unlock up to £200 million of investment, creating new jobs and helping drive the transition to a cleaner economy.

From the campaign trail and the media studios to the Treasury, No10 and the Cabinet Office. It’s been a privilege to be in the cabinet of a Labour government and to serve the country. Andy Burnham has called to tell me I won’t be a part of his cabinet. I wish him and his team every success.

We Starmer ultras (only 20 of us apparently) are deluded if we think Starmer will be remembered kindly by history. He took Labour from zero to number 10 in 4 years, 30 bills passed the legislative stages in his 2 years in office and he's just been awarded the Legion d'honneur. Deluded, nah.

It's heartbreaking isn't it - the morons who have ousted him aren't going to be respected in the same way internationally. Well done to Keir regardless.

Does anyone else still feel, what is happening within the Labour Party is surreal and you’ll wake up soon and realise it’s just been a very bad nightmare 😱

Just read the list of MP’s who backed Burnham including my own . It’s like a stake through the heart, fuck them all , a crowd of cheating, grifting bastard’s . They have cheated us all and put forward a 1st class chump to be our PM .

Burnham as PM , our day of shame. As I watched Gordon Brown and his lovely family walk out of 10 Downing St for the last time , I wept with the emotional of it all . However Gordon and our Party had been defeated in a fair and democratic election .

There was always a very strong chance that Farage, nothing more than a grifter, would implode under the weight of his own corruption The problem is Labour MPs, instead of holding their nerve, joined Burnham's coup Now we're stuck with the coronation of a self-regarding lightweight as PM Farcical

50 years ago, Jim Callaghan delivered a speech at Ruskin on the future of education. Today, I'm doing the same. High-quality early years education is how we close the disadvantage gap. Expanding it to those who need is most is the future of education. www.nurseryworld.co.uk/content/news...

Education secretary calls for 30-hour childcare offer to be made universal - Nursery World

The Education secretary, Bridget Phillipson, is to say that she wants the 30 hours of funded early education to be extended to low-income families.

I don't like to say I told you so (actually I do) but I did say getting spooked and ousting the PM 3+ years before the next GE because of Farage was bloody stupid. I alway thought Reform would implode before the next GE and we're at the beginning of the end of them, thank gawd.

The more I read and the more I think about it , it looks like the plan was to use the respectability of Sir Keir Starmer to get into power , then toss him aside, ASAP !

labour.org.uk/two-years-of... 2 years of amazing progressive policies under Keir's leadership, a world away from 14 years of decline and austerity, and Labour MPs have tossed him aside like he was worth nothing to them. Click the link to learn. I can't help but agree with Jane's post below.

And look at it now -after 2 years of good government -we look grubby and dishonourable

Burnham will change No 10 ‘boys club’ briefing culture, says Lucy Powell . Oh Lucy , Lucy how you play the victim so well .More fool me , who thought we were getting a strong group of Labour women, who wouldn’t let the boys intimidate them .

Dear Margaret. I'm adding this: and the PLP, trade unions, foreign adversaries and enemies of state with deep pockets. A multi-million dollar propaganda campaign, funded by enemies of state and US billionaires, flooded the worlds media and socials with aim to ruin UK democracy and change its gov't.

Couldn't agree more. I believe they've contributed to the demise of the Labour Party. We're in the 21st Century and Age of AI, not the 1970s when Labour was in its element with unions holding the country to ransom inflicting a winter of rationed energy & 3-day week. Old Labour will never rule again.
