Reform have misspelt 2 out of the 3 Welsh words on their manifesto for Wales. Nigel Farage and Wales leader Dan Thomas proudly held up the manifesto at the launch yesterday. On the front cover it reads "Family, community, country," which has been translated to "Teulu, gymnued, wlad." 1/2

Decided to start relearning Welsh. Duolingo seems to think we all talk about (and to) dragons regularly... #Cymraeg
10 YEAR PLAN - Neighbourhoods DOI: We aim to fit into the new multiple neighbourhood provider (MNP) model, and our member practices and PCNs have major stakes in the single neighbourhood provider (SNP) model The Plan is a mixed bag of good stuff and areas that need tightening for delivery. 1/17

Such a great morning celebrating Arsenal Women and their European win!
Astonishing evidence at the Covid Inquiry. The Government repeatedly ignored offers from the Crick Institute to provide mass testing on a national scale. Instead, the Government paid Deloitte consultants to project manage, not yet established, privately run labs. 1/2
New life stage: Allotment Veg patch now prepped. Peas are in. Beetroot and spinach next. So much to sort on the rest of the plot, but a joyous fruit section is already established (if full of weeds). #AllotmentBore

The more research I do into how people use technology, the more I realise that the biggest mistake is assuming or mandating that everyone should do everything the same way. Some things work for some people, very few things work for everyone www.careful.industries/blog/2025-3-...
Gold dust as always from @rachelcoldicutt.bsky.social
Thinking about why public services should not be designed in the same way as private-sector ones. I've 5 points so far: (1) CHOICE: with v few exceptions, we get to choose the private-sector digital services we use but most public services need to be universal at the point of access (1/n)
What are you favourite Agile courses for those new to working this way? Thinking about nurturing delivery, product and ideally service skills (not all at the same time/course!).
Another opportunity to be my boss's boss as interim Chief Information Officer for NHS England. Now more than ever our organisation needs an inclusive leader who will empower teams like mine and instil modern digital ways of working at the highest level. If that sounds like you, please apply by […]

This is SUCH a predictable scenario. And such poor system design. Honestly even if GP practices can't see this for themselves (& they should), the software companies ought to invest in some codesign.

Annual tradition... The Holiday while wrapping (admittedly one-armed this year, not recommended)
“When you’re raped there is shame, and it’s not for us to have shame, it’s for them. It’s true that I hear lots of women, and men, who say you’re very brave. I say it’s not bravery, it’s a will and determination to change society” - Gisèle. What a woman.
Week 1 at @dhcwales.bsky.social in the bag. Gentle start of getting set up and meeting a few people. Ramped up quickly with speed learning on GP systems. Brilliant to see the team in action, lots of passion, dedication and knowledge. Chuffed as beans to be there 🙌
My 10 year old's ice skating birthday party. Before + After. Bionic arm coming soon. (Feel like a right plonker).

A thread on AI, the NHS, and my view of some problems. Most of this is copied from a reply I did to a good article on HSJ on the subject. The NHS's AI problem is mainly to do with two things: - "shiny new toy" syndrome - outright disinformation by conflicted people 1/
