SFFH Author. Professional storyteller. Can*Con Chair. D&D player. Caffeinated geek. Repped by Sara Megibow of Megibow Literary Agency. She/her.

According to my new office chair and general ergonomics, I have short upper arms, long lower arms, and my back isn't curved right (I knew that one)! Regardless, I am comfy to write for the first time in over a month. Woo!! ... now to stare at the screen for a while.

I am not active enough on social media to keep up, but here's me trying to catch up: - Gen AI sucks, and no you can't sell your Gen AI stuff at Can*Con (see our policies) - I love all the people-made art you've shared. Yes, yours, too 1/?

While the discussions are flying around re: reading with your younger folk, if you’ve got a reluctant reader, may I take this opportunity to bring your attention to Hi-Lo? High-interest, low-complexity. For ESL, reading disabilities, and/or reluctant readers. And you can still get a queer rom-com!

Stuck with You

Stuck With You is a story of Queer joy and a playful teen romance, following two frenemies as they fall for each other while stuck in adjacent seats on a day-long train trip. Ben is on a train back to...

Great Canadian musician with a great Canadian band. My sister in law attended a concert and picked up a copy of their album with the Guess Who. Best of all the cover was autographed by all members of both bands. And subsequently it fell into my hands (no idea how!)

Signs, Signs, Everywhere a Sign: Remembering Kerri's beloved uncle, Ted Gerow, who left us on July 3. An original (and longest active!) member of Five Man Electrical Band, you may have heard some of his songs. Celebrate his life with a listen today! 💖 www.mariebilodeau.com/blog/afarewelltoted

It was easier to deal with my insurance for 50K+ damage with the right coverage then it was to get a new battery from the Apple Store with Apple Care i love my insurance company more than my phone company my phone is pink and glittery i should love it more i'm so confused

Okay, I *must* write today. Have barely written since I lost my basement office (boo!). Now am set up at the kitchen table with a lovely cup of coffee. Time to get those words! *stares outside in fascination at MOVEMENT!* ...now I remember why the basement office worked so well...

I am here to WHINE that no matter that our BASEMENT FLOODED and a family member PASSED AWAY and a parent FELL DOWN THE STAIRS we are still EXPECTED to come up with a plan for EVERY MEAL and MAKE THE MEAL and also PAY BILLS and keep WORKING and ADULTING IS THE WORST thank you for listening

You might be wondering how you can support an author when you're short of time, money, energy, etc. But honestly, making your own post about a book helps us! The more people who are talking about a book? Well, that's how buzz begins. You can do that on whatever sites you use.

Okay, so our basement flooded and we’re filling in the schedule of loss for the insurance company, and seeing how much replacement value is for some of our old possessions is… ouch. Like, the Lunar 2 strategy guide? Almost 300. My 30th anniversary He-Man DVD set? Almost 500. 😅

Charles de Lint has responded to the questions about his AI cover on FB. It boils down to "while it's bad the tool was created through theft, I'm still using it" which is ... not great. If artists are not going to stand with other artists, no one will. Highly disappointing.

I, a human, wrote and drew this cartoon with my human body and sent it to human art printers who printed it with their human hands and you a human (?) can now buy a ltd edition print of it in my shop! Link in bio

The junk guys are taking out our flooded furniture and when they moved a piece of our sectional, it started to, and I quote: “shoot water out like a sprinkler.” It’s been ten days since the basement flood. Ew. 😂😱

Yesterday we had a banner day - insurance will cover damage, and our washer and dryer still work so we can do LAUNDRY! We also received and agreed to a replacement furnace quote. Once we have AC again, our house will feel like a POST-BASEMENT PALACE. 💖🏰💖 Excited!!
