Fun virtual visit with the Illustration Club at O'Neal Library, AL. I love showing kids sneak peeks at book dummies no one has seen yet, answering their questions, and draw-alongs. Spending an hour with kids talking about books and drawing is an hour well spent. #kidlit

Really glad I've got a nine year old at home who's ready and willing to give feedback on picture book back matter for younger ages. Some really helpful suggestions like adding definitions for words he feels K-2 might not be familiar with. #KidLit

I'm always happy to share knowledge! Every artist I know is also very open! Just PLEASE say thank you when someone goes out of their way to answer questions or share info (learning not to ghost people after they help you is a valuable career skill).

Share your knowledge if/when you can. Teaching other people how to do what you do doesn’t lessen your art - it just means more and better art for everyone. I appreciate when people are willing to tell me about their brushes, how they study, etc… I want to put that back out into the world.
