I've entered a discussion at work about "approved scrubbers" for using an AI tool to anonymise personal data before it is shared, and all I can think of is this:
The return to physical media is a radical act. A book in your hand or a record on the turntable belong to a world beyond subscriptions, licenses, and corporate permission, and they can be lent, inherited, annotated, repaired, and loved. They remain when the platform fails and the servers die.

I'm 53 in a couple of weeks and have been short sighted all my life wearing contacts for the last thirty years. Now I find I have to wear +1 glasses on top of my lenses because I can't see things up front, but my long distance is sharper. WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!
