I've just seen that Ann Droid can drive. That alone would be a reason for me wanting a robot.
Looking forward to hearing this later as I was in the audience for the recording of this last night. Full of laughs and given it was about 90 minutes interested to see what makes the cut. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

One thing that is obvious from the One Show 20th anniversary is that there are far fewer full episode outside broadcasts now.
So yesterday after twenty years with the same organisation having done at least six different jobs I finally called it a day. Now time to enjoy a month off before starting my next job in September.
Rise in the ‘fake meeting’ - office workers so filled with meetings that they don’t have time to do any actual work, are creating fake meetings in their dairies to stop bosses calling them in for pointless meetings & to enable them to get real work done. www.ft.com/content/0291...
Employees are scheduling fake meetings to make time for real work
When back-to-back calls leave little time for actual tasks, some turn to underhand solutions

Have you noticed the weather is changing at last? It’s almost as though an icy wind is blowing across the country. Only Connect returns, tonight at 8 pm on BBC Two.
So frustrating that people don't understand the power of compound interest. Someone sat opposite me on the train whose clearly 18/20 talking about wanting to withdraw the £1,000 in their pension and not understanding what that will grow to.
Have some Wednesday Wisdom from @sonofbengt.bsky.social. Every. Single. One.
Off the top of my head: 1 - Under no circumstances buy a new build flat 2 - People will constantly throw out red flags about themselves if you pay attention (See: "I'm a nice guy") 3 - If someone says "I am led by my ethics/jesus" etc. then dont get in a position where they can ever owe you money
Every year for Pride, I repost Hue. I made him to send love and comfort to those who feel Pride isn’t for them because they aren’t out. You matter, you are valid, and it’s ok if you aren’t ready yet. Coming out is not a requirement for being part of this community. Happy Pride 🌈
With the fuel duty rise being postponed again isn't it time that the OBR refuses to recognise and future tax increase until it actually happens. Every fiscal event it gets included as a budget measure and makes the books look better and time and time again it gets postponed.
Why did Shokz move away from magnetic charging? I need to replace my OpenRun headphones after five years and USB-C charging along with reduced water resistance make me nervous.
And let's remember you have to be particularly bad to have resigned from Liz Truss' cabinet given her tenure was measured in days.
Lib Dems react: “Farage has recruited yet another Conservative minister with selective amnesia - one who complains about broken Britain while conveniently forgetting they helped break it. "Suella Braverman was so bad she was forced to resign from Liz Truss’ cabinet and got sacked by Rishi Sunak.”
If you want to get into The Archers and haven’t listened before then The Archers: Truth and Lie is worth a listen. So many backstories being replayed www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

In the trail for Question Time Fiona says there is nothing else like it. I guess no one mentioned Radio 4's Any Questions to her.
Really enjoyed this week's #HIGNFY Maisie Adam and Katherine Ryan both on top form.
Genuinely I would absolutely hate the producers if I was on #TheTraitors This mission is terrifying.
As we lose the final episodes of Doctors from BBC iPlayer what is really telling is how much drama especially UK originated has been lost from TV especially when you remember we lost Holby City and it's replacement is a few series of Waterloo Road and that last series was burnt across four weeks.
End of an era… today is the final day to watch my final ep of Doctors leaving @bbciplayer.bsky.social at 2:45pm. As these final 16 eps play out, please remember the hundreds of people who have struggled to find work since the axe fell… 😢😢🤬 www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
I don't think enough people talk about how great BBC Bitesize is. Secondary school textbooks are now vanishingly rare and Bitesize content is (a) not in a terrible app, (b) engaging and interesting and easy to understand, and importantly (c) FREE. A properly great digital public good.
Catching up on this week's #HIGNFY and delighted that it's @vcorenmitchell.bsky.social hosting and that the amazing Dame Sheila Hancock is a guest. It's going to be a good one.
