Still having very odd conversations with people regarding doing tech things. "So I'm going to set up this new image library to sort out my photos..." "Why don't you ask Claude to do it?" "Because I actually *enjoy* figuring this stuff out and getting it set up how I want it."

Unintentional dickhead. Probably wishing he was on a roller coaster. he/him
Trying to work out if it's actually 100% of the people I know doing Parkruns this morning. Instagram suggests it is.
Bloody hell, Apple have overcomplicated things. I just want to put my phone into "Do not disturb" mode manually for the night. It's asking me to set up focus modes and I don't know what that is and I don't care what it is, I just want it to shut the fuck up so I can go to sleep.
Today's achievement: went to the shops, didn't buy crisps. (we shall ignore the ice cream in my trolley...)
welcome to britain, bangers are sausages but also second hand cars and also good songs, good luck out there
Today's "huh?" moment. My local IKEA stocks spare inner drawers for my kitchen units, which is great because I want to add some. However, it doesn't sell the drawer fronts in that store. What are they expecting you to do with half a drawer?
I'd forgotten about this. Douglas Adams knew what people in power would pay money for and now AI is trying to make this a reality.
Reminds me of 'Reason' from #DouglasAdams ' first #DirkGently book
My terrible memory is fighting with my need to clear unread notifications. A new episode of a podcast I like came out today and there's an unread discussion thread that I will want to read... but not until after I've heard the episode. Until then every 30 seconds: "oh I have an unread message..."
Nobody warned me that by going to see Operation Mincemeat a month ago, I'd still have all the songs stuck in my head now.
I love watching Sewing Bee: Me: "That is the ugliest thing I ever saw" Patrick: "This is exquisite!" --- Me: "Oh I like that! That's superb!" Esme: "You've sewn this upside down and you forgot to hem the back, the elastic's coming out of the waist and you chose the wrong fabric. Also no bow!"
Watching @stuartlawscomedy.bsky.social fly the audience to Gibraltar (virtually) on @nextupcomedy.com and it's every bit as brilliantly bizarre as you'd expect.
Instead of watching Channel 4 use a Spectator columnist confirm the biases of ppl on FB who reckon there were no ND people in the 80s, the kid they used to bully only knew every fact about the Intercity 125 to be difficult, listen to It's A Superpower??! thedailytism.com/podcasts/its...
Podcast: It's a Superpower??
It’s a Superpower?? is the first sitcom made by a team of autistic creatives for an autistic audience. The show follows Norah, Pix, Wilder, Sophie and Bums – five autistic people who meet at an autism...

Monitoring the rain radar, and watching it part and pass either side of me without giving any bloody rain at all.
I realise that the staff in my local Tesco must think I'm some sort of stoner, given I mostly come in at 9pm, slowly bumble around the aisles, then leave with ice cream, pizza and something random like some highlighter pens or a candle holder.
No matter what time of day it is, if I turn on a commercial TV channel it is always in an ad break. Always.
Now, do I book myself to Blackpool for their Journey to Hell event at Halloween? Annoyingly it's only on a very few nights, so will likely be busy whenever I go.
I'd be absolutely fine - the last one I played was Parkitect. A year in a theme park? Yes please.
You're offered $250,000,000 but to claim it you must enter the last video game you've played and stay there for a full year. How are y'all faring in this deal?
Someone on tonight's Mastermind subject is apparently going to be TfL Moquette - that will be interesting given they don't use pictures.
Dear all YouTubers, nobody but you is excited by your subscriber count. Kthxbai.
Hoovered the stairs, including getting right into the corners with the pointy bit tool (which probably has a name, but I don't know it.) Was wondering why I didn't do this more often. Then the battery died halfway up and I remembered that it's super annoying that it doesn't last long enough.
My brain, all the time: I need to do A, but to do that I need to do B. So I should do B, but to do that I need to do C. Maybe I'll start with C... but that depends on having done A...
Sometimes I amuse myself by reading the reviews of businesses on Google Maps that were written by bizarre people with no grip on reality. "2 stars. We never found the store because the man at my local garage gave me the wrong directions."
No matter how many times you sneakily re-enable the AI 'features' I repeatedly turned off and did not consent to, I WILL ferret through my settings to turn them off again, but this DOES feel a lot like a guy trying to get my number at the bar who will not take no for an answer.
It's 2026 and we still don't seem to have a solution to "I just want to read this one news article so can I pay for that now? I don't want to subscribe for £50 a month."
Me from half an hour ago is a dickhead. "While you're cleaning the kitchen, you should clean the cooker hood filter." Anyway, I've just discovered it has an extra charcoal filter I didn't know about, which has more complex care instructions than Pissfingers.
Taking advantage of it not being absolutely meltingly-hot to do some housework, as the last few weeks have been utterly hopeless. So far I've managed to finish a bit of DIY in the living room and throw out a lot of cardboard, but there's a lot left to do!
People are odd. Had a message last weekend on Vinted asking that the item they'd bought arrive before today. I posted it the following day, it arrived midweek, and as far as the reminder emails I keep getting show, they haven't picked it up. Evidently not that desperate for it then.
