I was appalled (though not surprised) when I learned Sunday that Senate Dems intend to help Republicans fund the government through the election, with one minimal concession that has nothing to do with election subversion or ongoing Trump theft of federal dollars from blue states. And I remain so.

And he's using a comparison between cis men and cis women to make an argument against trans women. One of the goals of these types of stunts is to get people to broadly accept the idea that cis men and trans women are the exact same. And you can't have a conversation that starts there.
