Brian Beutler@brianbeutler.bsky.social · 24h agoI was appalled (though not surprised) when I learned Sunday that Senate Dems intend to help Republicans fund the government through the election, with one minimal concession that has nothing to do with election subversion or ongoing Trump theft of federal dollars from blue states. And I remain so.
Trump did something like this with Neal Dunn several months ago, and then Dunn became too sick to be regularly present in Washington.

The failure of the Trump presidency and the exposure of right wing scams have arrested Dems’ slide with young male voters. Keeping them in the Dem coalition as insurance against resurgent fascism is a much harder problem. It can’t be solved with superficial gestures or policy chits. It’s ~~praxis~~.

I didn't get vaccinated out of obedience, but after decades of studying the immune system and evaluating all evidence. Calling that "lack of critical thinking" is not an argument. It's ideology masked as pretend intellect.
