At the risk of sounding like "not all religions", it's not all religions. E.g, the reconstructionist synagogue that I joined a couple of years ago stands for all the right causes. I am thinking of other church communities, both in the past and now, that fight the good fight.

As both an academic and a writer, I am repelled by the "this looks like a long document. Would you like me to summarize it for you?" that seems to appear at the top of every pdf viewer now. NO. The *entire point* of good writing (either books or journal papers) is that every sentence has a purpose.

Voting for something and being in the minority still means your vote counts and your voice has been heard. And they also author a dissenting opinion. That you have to win to have your vote count is anti-democratic and has been used in voter suppression campaigns to rat fuck downballot races.
