Success at any cost is indeed a very American notion. Luckily the EU still has some people in charge who consider ecological and societal impacts over allowing a few billionaires to destroy it all in the name of success.

As the EU finds new successful American companies each year to threaten with fines for being too dominant, I always wonder if EU regulators ever ask themselves why European companies aren’t this successful?

Who can suggest some fantasy novels for my 15yo? He's into DnD, Baldur's Gate 3, Demonslayer, Last Airbender etc. I'm trying to get him to read more, so something that is easy and addictive enough from page 1.

I‘ve started calling them sentence-continuation machines. Helps wash away any thought of humanizing them or assigning them intelligence.

Not bad 😀 But they are also heavily biased, eg their sycophancy, far right bias of Grok, the ways they try to make you spend more with their advice, create addiction, etc... So you risk making them sound as neutral tech

I wish LLMs wouldn't say crap like "My honest top recommendation is..." I consider a dark pattern, intended to trick you into anthropomorphizing it and making the answers look more trustworthy. It cannot be honest, it can deliver plausible answers based on training data.
