Asiah Wotring - Mattapan Liaison

@mattapan.boston.gov

I'm Asiah, @mayorwu.boston.gov's Mattapan neighborhood liaison on the @communityengagement.boston.gov team. You can see all liaisons, sign up for neighborhood newsletters and more at boston.gov/ons. Please call 311 for non-emergency city services.

IFSI has not just made their mark in the Mattapan neighborhood, but across the city, in the Haitian community and beyond. It was an honor sitting with them alongside Mayor Wu as they discuss the new initiatives they have coming on the horizon. We appreciate everything that your team does!

The City of Boston is under a Flash Flood Watch until 4 p.m. today, Thursday, July 10. Please take care, avoid flooded areas, and look out for your neighbors.

A graphic with a blue background and an illustration of a car in water at the top. Text reads: Flash flood watch. During a flood, water levels and the rate water is flowing can quickly change. It only takes 6 inches of water to knock you off your feet. Don't drive or walk into flood waters, turn around and find another route. Boston.gov/flood". The City of Boston logo is at the bottom.

Spent Tuesday out in community — helped businesses in Mattapan Square sign up for October Open Streets, walked Almont Park to talk improvements, and ran into Bike Mayor Vivian Ortiz while doing outreach on Ledgebrook, Leahsaven, and Southernere Rd! It was a beautiful day of community connection.
