"Nobody's talking to engineers anymore. They're asking agents for problems, and it just keeps the conversation very isolated." Never mind all the talk about saving x number of hours a week in productivity - and I hate to be *that* person - but decent leaders have got to look at the pain points.

Today’s free newsletter has a very simple message: The AI industry can not (and will not) be bailed out - AI is not too big to fail, OpenAI is not AIG, this is not 2008, and all of this is nothing like the Dot Com Bubble. And when it fails, we must let AI burn. www.wheresyoured.at/let-ai-burn/

Seems the real problem centrist democrats are facing right now is the people are being very clear that they want leaders who will solve their biggest problems, and centrist democrats really don't want to solve their biggest problems and hate the people for wanting that. It's a real pickle for them.

This, from Pelley's interview today, is such a good articulation of a problem I've had with so many of these MAGA people. The insulting hubris to take a job with no qualifications or experience. It sticks in my craw.

This is like somebody
walking up to me and saying,
"There's a 747, there are 400 people on it, we need you to fly it to Paris." I'm going to decline because I don't have a clue. And it would have been so much better if Bari Weiss had been offered this job and said, "Oh, that's not for me, I don't know how to do that."

UK transplant here. In London on a Tech Innovator Visa I love the NHS but one way they could materially cut costs: in the US, a 90 day prescription for ongoing meds is the norm In the UK, it's treated as a bizarre request The unnecessary system work for 1/month instead of once/3 months! whyyy

This is dead on. If the Democrats retake the House and Senate--or even just the House--it could mark the beginning of the end of a 50-year Republican project. If they can't? The GOP will spend the next 2 years destroying all remaining guardrails. Most important midterms of our lives, no question.

The Roberts Court, the Trump White House, and the national GOP are acting like this is their one big shot. Either they secure the lasting end of US Constitutional democracy, or they’re in very serious trouble from the backlash. And they’ve already gone so far that there’s no other possibility.

Loss upon loss upon loss for MAGA. And when you’re losing so much you lose one other thing- the fear you had instilled in other politicians, the media, universities and business.
