D23 has been a blast at the Lorcana booth! Thanks for everyone who has come by to say hi. There's still time on Sunday to hang out if you haven't had a chance yet. Standby lines will be open and we try to keep things moving so there's a good chance to get your signed poster. See you there!

A new example of Meta shithousery. This is a post of mine on Instagram (left). Click the dots top right and this advisory note appears (right). I never use ai, never will. Why would they do this? Who benefits? Are they just trying to make viewers think everything is genAI so they just accept it?

A digital painting I posted on instagram. I didn’t use ai to create it. An Instagram advisory saying the artwork in the post is ‘likely made with AI’

Lindsay Graham was not just one of politics’ greatest worms, he was one of AMERICA’s greatest worms. Now he is in worm heaven, playing with that that great worm rock n roll band. Goodbye forever, monumental worm, you believed in nothing and it all worked out!

It's finally time for me to get into Blender. Does anyone have recommended tutorials and resources for a 20 year Maya veteran (that isn't Blender Guru)? I think my needs for now are basic scene blocking and lighting for painting references but I'd like to eventually get into Grease Pencil an more.

I do love that AI inadvertently confirms that our brains work like a muscle, too — use it or lose it. In this way relying on AI is like using a robot to lift weights, like running a marathon in a Honda Civic. You get nothing out of it.

Research confirms that the more skilled professionals like doctors and software engineers rely on AI, the more their skills degrade. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Consumer facing "A.i." is about triggering the excretion of a mediocre product. It's a rejection of PROCESS. Life itself is process, not fucking product. Push "A.i." on kids and you rob them of the joyful experience of life itself. I am not exaggerating.

PSA: Bluesky's new auto-tagging moderation stuff is a disaster. Disable it. Go into Settings on the Bluesky site and enable adult content and set everything to Warn at most, which makes posts opt-in. Hide just vanishes posts. Then go into Advanced/Bluesky Mod Service and do the same on everything.
